Author Stephen Clarke wrote this hilarious book originally for his friends back in London, so they would feel his incredible pain at having to work in Paris. He's there to help start a chain of English-style tea rooms and is eager in his laddish way, to drink lots of wine and bed lots of gorgeous French girls. What he finds out, however, is that above else, the French love to be obstinate about business and language, and cause him no end of frustration. Will he eventually figure out how to connect with Gallic culture? This is a hilarious book that will cause you lots of undue attention on the plane, as you burst out laughing while reading, and the people in your row all think you're insane, or wonder what's so funny.
